The Irish Sailing Association (ISA) National Powerboat Certificate is widely considered as the 'Driving Licence' of boats. Adventure Training Ireland run these certified courses over 2 days covering everything you need to know to keep you safe afloat!

The aim of this course is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to safely, and effectively, skipper an open powerboat, by day, on inland and coastal waters with which they are familiar. The ISA strongly recommends this as a minimum qualification for anyone taking charge of a powerboat on Irish waters.

Upon successful completion you will receive your ISA National Powerboat Certificate which you can then use to apply for your International Certificate of Competency (ICC). This will then allow you to hire powerboats when abroad.

Our professional instructors can run this course on our school boats or on your own boat, whichever option suits you best. This course can be run from our Training Centre in Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club or from most locations around the country.
